Issued in compliance with Law No. 28 of 1971, this policy provides compulsory coverage for civil liabilities arising from motor vehicle accidents within Libya. It protects against legal liabilities for bodily injuries and fatalities caused by motor vehicle operations, ensuring compliance with national regulatory requirements.


Unified Arab Insurance Card (Orange Card):

The Orange Card is a mandatory cross- border insurance document that extends coverage for accidents occurring outside Libya. It provides the equivalent of compulsory third-party liability coverage in the host country, with claims handled by designated regional offices that represent the issuing insurer.


Comprehensive Motor Insurance Policy:

This policy offers extensive protection against a wide range of risks at the request of the insured. Key features include:


1 – Own Damage Coverage: Protection against physical damage to the insured vehicle resulting from accidents, collisions, or overturning.

2 – Fire and Theft Insurance: Coverage for losses resulting from fire, theft, or attempted theft.

3 –  Third-Party Property Damage Liability: Compensation for damages caused to third-party property as a result of the insured vehicle’s operation.


4 –  Premium Calculation Factors: Premiums are determined based on vehicle type, engine capacity, manufacturing year, and market value.

5 –  Passenger Personal Accident Coverage: Optional coverage for bodily injury or death of passengers resulting from an accident.

6 –  Extended Territorial Coverage: The policy can be expanded to include coverage for accidents occurring outside Libya, ensuring seamless protection during international travel.

Thispolicysafeguardstheinsured against legal liabilities for property damage sustained by third parties as a result of an insured vehicle’s involvement in an accident. It includes compensation for repair costs or financial losses incurred by the third party.
